What Inspired Me to Start Blogging?

It was in the midst of March when I was quite new to my current job and was also at my lowest point (which I still am but not that bad) when it hit me to start putting my thoughts into a blog. Without any filtration, no matter what people think of me, I’m just expressing my true feelings, come what may.

I distinctly remember this feeling like the whole world was crashing down on me. Nothing to lose; might gain some views or get a subscriber or two with that post. The post got about 141 views and 2 subscribers as of today.

Writing has never been my forte, not even the nearest of my skill set. I wanted to get into filmmaking via photography (which I still do). Watched a whole lot of Peter McKinnon, Chris Hau, North Borders and 7th Era videos. Their style of filmmaking and storytelling inspired me to start a YouTube channel. I focused on photography and whatever filmmaking I had learned at that point to use it in real-life situations, explaining the reasoning behind those shots and what emotions I wanted to convey.

Turns out, like every other 19-year-old, I lost touch with the art of photography. My mind gets distracted very easily and once I lose track, I cannot go back to pick up what I had started. This problem has been persistent all through my life and I face that issue even today, as I write this very blog.

Years later, when I became a full-time content and copywriter, I realized that maybe writing isn’t that bad when it comes to telling a story or conveying a certain emotion. All you need is a decent grip on grammar and the ability to tell a story that keeps you hooked till the very end and leaves some sort of an impression with the reader. Sounds quite simple, eh?

I slowly found my way by expressing more about my life and the emotions I go through via writing and journaling, and I must say, it has kept my cool for most of the day. I write not to vent out feelings, but to keep my head cool. My way of keeping my sanity and thinking, “Now I can sleep with peace at night.”

I am not here to talk about “I did this one thing which changed my life completely” or “How to optimize your SEO for better ranking of your blogs.”

I am just a guy who loves to write and be at his truest self for about 20-30 minutes in a day. Without any BS, not giving a fuck about what people think and putting it in words for you guys to read.

With that being said, I have also launched my first ever digital product, which is a journal to help you guys be your true selves. Even if it is for 5-10 minutes in a day, it helps keep your mind clean and sane every morning or before going to bed.

Feel free to check it out and I hope my blogs could bring some sort of change in your life and maybe penning down your thoughts into a blog or journal might help you, just like it is doing to me.
