AI Blogs vs Human-Created Blogs: Why Human-Created Content is Better
I believe that first person perspective and conveying sensory experiences are the key to human-created blogs and it is these two key factors that make human-created content far superior to AI generated content

There is no doubt that using AI to create content such as blog posts is an absolute time saver. With a specific prompt to an LLM AI such as ChatGPT or Microsoft CoPilot you can have a 500-word blog post generated in 10 seconds. Add in some further refinement prompts, a little manual editing and the entire process is done in 5ish minutes. The traditional approach of an author drafting and refining their own content from start to finish is a minimum of 1 hour and ranges up to multiple hours.
So, from an Author’s POV, why would you not just use AI to generate your content and save yourself hours? Besides one answer being that a lot of Author’s have a real passion and receive genuine enjoyment from writing, the other is more to do from the readers perspective. I don’t know about you, but I have noticed the quality of blog posts within the last 12 months (as a general rule – not every single blog post) has reduced. It wasn’t anything glaringly obvious, I just felt the quality was lacking. At first, I didn’t realise why but then suddenly it clicked, the authors were using AI to write their content!
I pondered on this idea – that the quality of AI generated blog posts were less than that of traditional blog posts. What was it that made me notice that the quality wasn’t there? What defines the quality of a blog? What are the factors that differentiate a good quality blog vs bad quality?
I created a comparison of what I noticed between AI generated content and human-created content.

The 5 Senses
Hearing, Vision, Smell, Taste & Touch. We use these senses every single second of every single day. The inputs detected by these senses are processed in your brain instantaneously to ‘paint the picture’ of the world around you. I realised that it is the expression of these senses, from one human to another, that sets apart human-created vs AI content. This expression of senses allows the readers to transport themselves into the situation and have an immersive human experience. It allows the writer to establish a somewhat deeper connection with the reader and creates this feeling of genuineness and authenticity. It is the shared foundation of expression and communication between humans.
I believe that first person perspective and conveying sensory experiences are the key to human-created blogs and it is these two key factors that make human-created content far superior to AI generated content
As we move forward, AI generated content will continue to increase to the point where it will likely become the dominant content type on the web. Generally, when it comes to output of any sort of product, there is a weigh up between quantity vs quality – if you want a quality product then you will get less quantity and vice versa. My position is that when it comes to content creation, especially blog posting, that QUALITY is far more important than QUANTITY. I believe that as AI content increases, so to will peoples desire to consciously seek out the quality human created content.
The ponderings and realisations I have detailed in this blog post were the main factors in creating the Sentient Blogs platform. If you are an Author and feel this post has resonated with you and/or you are passionate about non-AI generated content, please consider registering as an author.
