The mission and intent of the Sentient Blogs platform is to support and promote the work of real, authentic human created blogs. Why? Because in the last few years, AI content has flooded the internet, drowning out the authentic work of actual humans.
We believe that, once the hype of AI is over, people will begin to crave and seek out real, authentic human-made content once again.
Another platform has risen to take on the saturation of AI content, this time in the art and graphics space – I Am Human.
Sentient Blogs is proud to announce that we have teamed up and partnered with I Am Human and we look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with them as we navigate through this uncertainty of AI saturation.
To get a better feel of what the I Am Human platform is about, who the team behind the platform is and if you can take advantage of their services, I asked the team some questions – which are below in their raw form.
- What is the I Am Human platform all about?
It should be obvious to most people that AI has been making a significant impact on our society – and not really in a way that’s enhancing the human experience. AI is trying to replace the parts of humanity that brings people the most joy: creating stuff. If it were just helping to solve our hard problems, that seems like a commendable cause – but replacing artists? Musicians? Writers? Why? Those are the best parts of humanity and we’re trying to automate it. Now it’s drowning out the stuff that people created without AI. This is what we’re trying to fight against. A place for humans to share human-made work. Somewhere people can share what they’ve done without having to compete for attention from AI slop. This for now, is where we start.
- Who is the team behind it and what was the motivation/reason for creating the platform?
The five of us working on I Am Human have known each other for years. The trigger for creating the site was a video from the YouTube channel “Kurzgesagt – In a Nutshell” titled “AI Slop is Destroying The Internet.” The video presented something we’ve already been feeling and experiencing ourselves: there is so much AI slop on the internet that finding content actually made by a person is getting more and more difficult. We thought “somebody has got to do something about this.” Well, we’re a group of somebodies and we have the skills to build a platform that could be part of the solution. It feels like we’re doing the right thing. It feels just.
- Benefits a user gets by signing up to I Am Human?
We’re in Alpha – so our primary focus is to just build momentum. We’re still calibrating and collectively figuring out what it takes to build a community of creatives. So, right now we’re handing out our topmost membership tier for free: VIP. Anyone signing up now can do so at no cost, and participate in shaping this platform. As a VIP member, any new feature we’re adding is included in that tier – and we’ve been busy gathering feedback and building what creators and artist want the most. We have a gallery, a member portfolios, a journal, chat and more on features on the way. Every submission gets reviewed by a human to ensure any content being shared was, in fact, made by a human. All this, right now is free while we’re building up the platform.
